Mad About Incentives

I write a bi-monthly article titled “Mad About Incentives” for Incentive Magazine Newsletter, an online publication that addresses many facets of the Incentive industry, http://www.managesmarter.com/msg/publications/incentive.jsp. I love that title because it allows me to be anyone I need to be at any given point in time. “Mad” as in a little wacky (as some of my critics surely believe) “Mad” as in angry, which I admit at times I am because of some of the things I see foisted on unsuspecting buyers in the industry. “Mad” as in foolish ( I have been and most likely will be again.) Or “mad” as in very enthusiastic which I have been about this industry since the first time I saw a program produce results back in early 70’s.

Today, I am “mad” as in enthusiastic about the business. A client just called and renewed a safety incentive program, not because we had the best award platform, with the cheapest price, (which we do) but because our programs over the last few years with them have produced results! And that’s what it’s all about.
